Reflections on Birds

It was cold this morning, but the promise of some sunshine.  I went off to Keep Fit, and afterwards walked round the Glen but it was still cold.  After lunch did some shopping for my friend who has covid, then we went for a walk.  

Saw quite a few birds, and were worried about one largish cygnet, as it was in the water but very still, with its neck tucked in.  One lady walking around the pond approached us as she was worried that it had died, but Bob was sure it was sleeping..... and sure enough as we talked it came to and swam off!  Phew!

Needed a coffee (tea for me) after that, and shared a chocolate brownie, all good.  Came home via the Farm Road, and saw lots of new growth, but the big trees are still very wintry.
