More rain coming.
Grose Valley from Govetts Leap Lookout. One of only two places in the Blue Mountains National Park still open after the recent tragedy when a family of 5 tourists from the UK were almost wiped out in a landslide at Wentworth Pass.
The ground is saturated after weeks of solid rain and with another 40-80mm forecast for later today precautions have been taken against another disaster. The underlying sandstone formations of the Blue Mountains are prone to breaking away in huge slabs during and after heavy rain - no matter what man does, nature will always reign supreme.
With the only two lookouts actually within the national park remaining open both in Blackheath, school holidays commencing at the weekend, and Easter just around the corner, we're likely to be saturated by tourists as well as rain - batten down the hatches!
