Not The Prettiest Stage, But Necessary....

I don't remember ever photographing this stage of the Texas Mountain Laurel or even noticing it.  I guess compared to the beautiful color of the blooms, it has just never caught my eye before.  Even this morning, when I first saw them, I was thinking they were just declining blossoms.  On closer inspection, I could see. that these were the newest seed pods I had ever seen!  In the extras, another view of the seedpods and a butterfly hanging on in a strong, gusty north wind.  So, this is my entry for Wild Wednesday.  Thanks to Cailleach for hosting....
