My first ever sighting of a Barn Owl - so not only is it my best photo of one but also my worst! The light was dreadful as it was before sunrise on a very overcast morning - we had sat out in the open field for over an hour hoping to see it. I have visited this site several times recently, hoping,  but today was the first time I saw it, thanks to my friend Paul whose eyes are much, much better than mine. It was a long way of so this photo is heavily cropped, and I had to sharpen it a bit.
I will keep trying until I get better shots! Patience is definitely the name of the game.
