Clachnaharry Sea Lock
The first (or final) lock on the Caledonian Canal where it meets the Beauly Firth. This is more or less the view from where we are staying. I was up very early and went out with Flora. There are a lot of dog walkers on the towpath and as everyone said, "it's a better morning."
We are heading over to Beauly so that Cameraman can visit one of his favourite shops. New and second hand cameras galore. He has several to return and trade in. It has a Leica Lounge but I doubt we'll be ushered in there.
I will visit a favourite shop too - a lovely deli where I'll buy some tasty things for tonight. It is very good to be back in a part of the world that we love.
Extra: handsome heron fishing in the seaweed.
