Chimney Beasts

Well they do say always remember to look up when you are visiting a new town and it proved worthwhile today. This chimney is atop a house in Fore Street, Bridgwater. I can't find any particular reason for these. Although, Bridgwater was apparently big in the brick and tile industry in the 19th century so maybe they're just a sample of the brickmakers talents.
