Another rehearsal room

After the last performance of Jerusalem last night, attention turns to the Arkle production of David Mamet's play Boston Marriage that L is performing in. Tonight I went along for the start of the rehearsal in the Tightlaced Theatre space in the Arts Complex at Meadowbank. This is the three members of the cast standing behind the director P.

Earlier in the day United did so much better than I expected only to lose their cup semi-final to Celtic by the same score as yesterday's game, 3-4 (after extra time). Although the performance and attitude (attack rather than just try and defend) were encouraging, the result was ultimately jut as bad as if we'd lost 2-6, like we did last time we played in the league.

So it's a Hibs v Celtic Cup final. Hopefully Hibs can break their own particular hoodoo this time. I remember the day of a previous Hibs v Celtic final way back in 1972. We were at a school friend's birthday party. He was a big Hibs fan and on the same day, my 'English team', Leeds, were in the English FA cup final. My team won 1-0 for their first, and so far only cup win but sadly his team lost 1-6. Hibs have also lost to Celtic in a final since, and two others before that. But, they did beat Celtic in the final the last time they did win the cup, so maybe they can beat the odds in May.

And I've just noticed that I was in the Arts Complex exactly a year ago!
