Lunch with a view

I was over in Tighnabruaich this afternoon and on my way back saw this feeding station , deserted and very wet but in a great place beside the last loop of the River Ruel before it enters Loch Riddon.

This spot is affected by the tides ( which were full when I took the picture) but is also influenced by rain coming down from the hills of the glen through which it runs and today we have had over 50mm.

Sometimes it can back up and flood the glen floor and even - I remember from one occasion when Cathleen was Head Teacher there - get into the primary school playground, which meant a hasty use of sandbags at all the doors.
