Or not.  There were several chaps working on this section of a street in Crewkerne and all but these two were fully kitted out with head, eye and ear protection; whereas these two, the ones carrying out arguably the most risky work, with the road drill, had only ear protection.  At least they swapped places every so often, presumably to avoid the adverse physiological of continuous vibration ("white finger"?).  I didn't challenge them or their supervisor.
