Anniversary

Twenty three years ago,
We made our promises.
Together in sickness and health,
For richer and for poorer.
Here we stand again,
Having walked so many paths.
We will walk so many more,
Together.


It was our wedding anniversary today. After taking the dog for a run on the Ashdown forest, and having a spot of lunch at Duddleswell tea rooms, we decided to go into Lewes, which is where we got married all those years ago.

The photo on the left is from our wedding day in 1990, taken in Grange Gardens, Lewes. The one on the right was today. If only I'd had the foresight to do this every year, what a wonderful record we could have had - oh well never mind!
