Autumn at Eely Point

Woke to a gentle rain, which stopped after a couple of hours.  Not enough water to fill up the lake even a little bit.  I parked at Eely Point, and walked back to the Wanaka Yacht Club.  The rain had stopped by then.  The Autumn colours are looking great on some of the trees, but the Poplars are hardly turning colour yet.

My daughter Scooby Doo is all packed and ready to go first thing in the morning.  She and her cousin from Taumarunui are setting off to walk the Milford Track.  Their boat leaves Te Anau Downs at 2.30 tomorrow afternoon.  They will get a little bit of rain, but mainly sunshine.  They are both very excited.  Her cousin is already in Queenstown so it will be an early start for both of them.
