meghli

Today I made meghli, which is a Lebanese dessert. It's typically made to celebrate the birth of a child, or at Christmas, but I just made it for our tea.

It's been a quiet kind of day - walking, cooking, housework, writing letters (a day off from the gardening). Sarah was at work and then driving straight down to Buttermere. I am with her in spirit in my favourite Lakeland valley and a place with so many memories. She is planning to recce stages 3 and 4 of the BGR tomorrow with a friend; the weather dosen't look great but I'm sure she'll be ok.

Drumming tonight..we recently had a recruitment drive and have 5 new members, which is very exciting. Sign-up sheets on the table for 7 summer gigs, so that's something to look forward to :-)
