Dusk

Taken from my back door, the picture shows our little apple tree and the brambly hedge at the bottom of the garden, with the church at the other end of the village in the background. It's further away than it looks, as the perspective has been compressed by the telephoto lens.

Did a bit of dusting today and cleaned the fireplace in the front room ready for the return of wife and child - who arrived home at about four thirty. Nice to have them back in the house again. Had a nice lazy weekend while they were away, catching up on some films and recordings, and sitting and reading. Good to have the opportunity to do this once in a while.

Weather not quite as windy as yesterday, but still wet through the morning and early afternoon when the rain died away. Still very cloudy and dull and looks like it will be the same tomorrow.
