Nesting time for the coots
Today I have been busy with things at home so just had a village walk.
The coots are always the first and last Moat birds to produce young and this pair have been nesting for about a week. I look forward to blipping their chicks when they hatch.
You might remember that last week I blipped a photo of the castle with a beautiful display of daffodils in the foreground. Today I saw that a big patch of them had been flattened. There were daffodils pulled up and scattered on the ground and in the moat.
It’s such mindless vandalism and ruined a beautiful display that everyone could enjoy.
