Contemporary Cat Dance With Sausage

One of our many, many rituals.

Chaiyya comes to me in my office, sits behind my chair and announces herself with a Miep.  It's not a Miaow, it's most definitely a Miep.  We chat for a bit then I get one those cat sticks, break it in half and toss a half to Chaiyya.

What follows could be something that was choreographed by Michael Clark but is usually something not quite as elegant.  Chaiiya has enormous fun though - batting the sausage all round my office - before picking it up and looking like Lauren Bacall smoking a cigarette.

It's quite a performance.

It's much better than Monday at work.  Especially a Monday at work where I managed to get through after sleeping for about 3 hours total last night.

I survived, I have a big pot of soup on the hob, the weather is getting wild and I'm thinking toasted cheese to go with the soup.
