Florida Natives
The Native plants are blooming! A walk around the back yard this morning assured today's blip. The main photo is of a couple of Spiderwort flowers. The Spiderwort is blooming all over the neighborhood. In some yards, where folks haven't yet begun their ritual lawn mowing, there are carpets of blue! In our yard the Spiderwort is interspersed with lots of other plants, and since I have no 'turf' to mow, everything just grows up together. Do take a look at today's *extra for some other Natives blooming happily in our yard. Virginia Sweetspire (and yes it is 'sweetly fragrant), Flame Azalea, Blue Porterweed and Eastern Bluestar (white variety, I guess)
