Plum Tart

Last year Mrs. K. was presented with a garden token when she retired after ten years as Treasurer of a village Trust. She used it to buy two plum trees. We ended the Summer with seven plums. They were delicious but did not last very long.

I am delighted to report that the trees are doing very well. This is just a part of one of them.

All being well there should be enough for several pies and tarts. I shall be able to sit in a corner, put in my thumb and pull out a plum and say what a good boy am I.  Although in reality it was Mrs. K. who was a good girl.
