A fantastic 24 hour break from family life! Headed to Manchester with friends where we stayed in a funky hotel, ate at a fine dinning establishment and stayed out far too late in the Northern Quarter - drinking AND dancing!

Enjoyed a spectacular brunch and then wandered the Manchester Art Gallery, where we actually took in some information without having our thoughts interrupted every three seconds - pure bliss, of course appreciated even more because we so seldom have this time to ourselves... This is the outside of the gallery (with happy friends in background!) where they have woven an extensive garden no less throughout the railings - very effective and clever.

Back to reality by 4pm with a pool side seat at Sienna's swimming lesson!
