Stewart's crocuses
Hubby and I spent most of the day with June and Sarah in Westhill. It's still so strange to be there without Stewart. He was not a big man physically but had an enormous enthusiasm for life, for the natural world, for his family and friends. He also loved his garden, and today in the afternoon sunshine it was full of vibrant spring colour for all of us to enjoy.
We talked, we laughed, we ate together and I even drank a glass of Chateau Rhind Malbec. I am not known as a lover of anyone's home made plonk, but even I had to admit that this, his last vintage was very drinkable! He would have enjoyed that!
Rest in peace dear friend. We miss you.
