Sally Mair - Loving life

I slept remarkably well last night although it was cold in our lodge this morning. Another beautifully clear sunny start to the day though. The collage has, clockwise from bottom right, the view from the door of our Lodge at around 8.30 am, the castle, our welcome chocolate tray and a view, I think, of Tinto Hill where the sun went down spectacularly last night.
The wedding was glorious, such a happy and radiant bride. She and her husband both have autism and yesterday was World Autism Day so a good choice of date. Very special for all.
We went to the castle for breakfast and then headed off home around 10.30. It was a beautiful and fairly fast drive home. Cleo was pleased to see us, and her food!
I did a little unpacking then spent much of the rest of the day asleep. I hadn't realised how tired I was, perhaps it was a result of the combined emotions of the last few days, one wedding and a funeral. Hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.
I woke around 5.30pm to discover heavy rain showers and dark skies. How fortunate that the wedding was yesterday and not today. The garden will enjoy the rain though. High winds now too, as I write.
We watched the first episode of the new series of Hidden. I do enjoy the accents, which remind me of our mum.
