Visiting the Wannsee Conference House

It was a strong emotional experience. I had difficulties taking it in. Not the evil that was handled, that was hard enough. More that it was done in a way conferences usually are performed, even today. "Welcome to this conference! I hope you enjoy the environment. We will support you with good meals and good service. Let's get the best out of it! Let us all listen to our leader and do the best we can to support him in a task that we will explain to you in a moment"

It made me feel bad. I've been participating in numerous conferences through the years even though not with that agenda. But how could it be that simple to have genocide on the agenda of a conference, with the same way of performing the conference the way we're using today?
