Jesus wept

Maybe it is just an American thing, but I am struck how many homeless / street people offer "God's blessing" on their signs. Obviously, if they can deliver on this offer, that makes them truly holy people. I had to look up what the biblical verse John 11.35 said - it is the shortest verse in the Bible: Jesus wept. We chatted about this, and in the course of conversation, he said that many years ago his wife and son had been killed in an auto accident because he was drunk. So Jesus wept.
