Jon’s birthday present

Well Jon finally managed to book the birthday present we gave him … a one hour flying lesson! Right here at the Sunshine Coast airport.

We were asked to come an hour later, so we had a little walk at Coolum beach to kill time. See extra :).

Got to the Aero Club well in time but had to wait as the plane was up in the air.

Jon had his briefing before hand and was given the safety drill.

He finally took off with much excitement. He said he flew the plane most of the time while they were up there and he really enjoyed it. He might look into having some lessons … how cool!

We then ran some errands in Maroochydore before coming home. Martin and Jon did the yards and washed the cars, and then Martin and I hung out with the neighbours on the street.

Finally dinner and a lovely evening in the end. Tiring day!
