Levada walk starting very high up at Fanal.

We started today’s levada walk at well over 3000ft.

After 20 minutes high up, we dropped steeply down for half an hour to pick up the levada ( aqueduct )…We walked along the levada for three quarters of an hour, before stopping for our picnic lunch break…

Then on again following the levada for almost two hours…then, as if by magic, our minibus appeared at the end of the walk! ( our driver had driven it from the start to the end of the walk )

Tired now…hot bath/shower before dinner!
