Underbank Hall

In late 2020, I interviewed someone to join our company. I'm glad to say she took the job, but since then I've only ever seen her on Teams and that didn't feel right, so today I took the train out to Stockport to meet her for a coffee and a catchup.

There's nothing much more to say about the meeting other than it was very pleasant and I'm glad I made the effort. (Not that it was a huge effort; eight minutes on the train from Piccadilly.)

Still, walking from home to Piccadilly via the office, and the walk across Stockport gave me a chance to stretch my legs after yesterday's run. The knee is still niggly but no worse than before, which I'm taking as a positive.

I was, of course, on the look out for a Blip as walked through Stockport and I came across this: Underbank Hall, built in the late fifteenth century. It was a home until 1823 and has been a bank ever since, although back then it belonged to Christy Lloyd and Co, and not NatWest.
