A Protea

They say that most of the proteas one generally sees around here were originally native to South Africa. However we do have some native family members called banksias. That about covers my knowledge on the subject and I may not even have THAT much right. In any event I go on walks everyday when it is not actually raining ... meaning that I get out for exercise about one day in four, right now. This was the only thing resembling a flower which I saw the whole while, this morning. Trouble is .. they have this quite wonderful feathery/furry texture that never looks sharp.

Hang on. This is day four of my new blip era ... and I AM STILL HERE! Geee!
