This morning's colours
We woke to a covering of wet snow on the velux windows and the huge noise of thunder snow, something I've rarely experienced. A light, patchy layer of snow patterned the landscape, with the surprising green of the winter wheat opposite apparently unaffected. I reluctantly stepped outside the balcony door for the photo, but it's the furthest I ventured all day. It's been bitterly cold by Kent standards, with significant wind chill; we've kept J's room cosy, so I've spent a lot of the day there, as well as enjoying a fire in the stove this evening.
