Clarence
Art for the community in Wolverton. This the foyer of the Old Bath House, once the shower bock for the railway works, now a community centre. The ramp leads down to Tesco's.
Clarence Gill was a notable member of the performing arts scene in MK for decades: he lived in Wolverton. I appeared with him many times and he was a friend. The artists are Timothy B Layden and Luke McDonnell. They have perfectly captured the very expressive way Clarence used his hands, both when singing and in ordinary conversation.
The swifts and swallows reflect the huge success of the campaign to put up nesting boxes.
The extra is a close up.
