Day 091/22. HMS Queen Elizabeth from HMS Victory
Another visit to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard today.
This was taken from the Quarterdeck of HMS Victory.
Explored (again) inside HMS Victory. She is best known for her role as Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805.
In the background today is the Queen Elizabeth.
HMS Queen Elizabeth is the largest and most powerful vessel ever constructed for the Royal Navy. She is capable of carrying up to 40 aircraft.
The flight deck of HMS Queen Elizabeth comes in at four acres, and will be used to launch the new F35 Joint Strike Fighter fast jet. Four fighter jets can be moved from the hangar to the flight deck in just one minute.
Both Victory and the Queen Elizabeth looked great in the cold sun today.
