Pasque flower

Delighted to see the first Pasque flower open in the gardens on the promenade.
Its scientific name is Pulsatilla vulgaris and it is often called Easter flower

Brings back happy memories of seeing hundreds in flower in the wild in the Pyrenees and the Alps.
