Return by the river

I had a quiet day after yesterday's exertions. We have not had the snow that has fallen over parts of France but it has turned very cold and we may get a little overnight. I walk down to the supermarket and met Jeff, our tower captain, who was doing his shopping so we all decided to walk back to the village by the scenic route alongside the river. I listened to Question Time while chopping fruit and vegetables for dinner and I'm always staggered at Government ministers and apologists continuing to defend the indefensible firstly over Partygate and now over the cost of living crisis.. Things are little better in France where the media are mostly supine and overly polite when questioning politicians and major issues sometimes get scant coverage on popular television channels.
