With no football for Alex, I set about doing my bit of his prep ahead of his school's week at camp. 

But things were thrown off track a little when the guy Tom had been in Glasgow with on Saturday tested positive. He was tested (-ve) but punted up the road as a precaution so that Alex wouldn't miss out on Benmore.

Rather than put anyone at risk I cancelled his planned visit to see his friend James and instead he expressed his desire to cycle to Broxburn ( to visit Albyn Park, home of Broxburn Athletic)

On a scorching afternoon we made it part of the way into Dalmeny estate before he acknowledged that maybe it was too far for an afternoon trip. That and the bribe of an ice cream in D Mains may also have swayed his decision.

Home for Mexican chicken strips and sweet potato wedges and an evening akin to Christmas Eve, such was the sense of excitement!!!
