Finally Reunited

A quiet day in Pasty Land today as Mr W was working. I took Bella for a local walk along the river but was fooled by the sunshine.  It was actually bitterly cold and I wish I had put an extra layer on!!

In the afternoon we went to Tintagel Castle only to find it was closed due to Force 10 gales but we were able to walk down to the cafe and see the sea. I was shocked to find a family I had worked with there.... of all the places in the world!!

We then met my son Sam and his Ukrainian girlfriend Viktoriia at his house. Its the 1st time I have seen his house. He's done so well to be able to afford to buy it. He booked a table in a really nice pub AND sneakily paid for our meal as a belated Mothers Day treat. My son is all growed up!!

Viktoriia is doing well. She seemed in good spirits despite what's going on in Ukraine. Her family are in the West and safe at the moment. Her sister who had a stroke is still receiving treatment with daily physio.  She really is a lovely girl and Sam is clearly very much in love with her.  Xxx

So great to finally be Covid free, ditch the masks, hug my husband and socialise again!
