Dong dong the bells are gonna chime

So an envelope arrived today with a seal on the back.

Hmmm we said. What is this?

Si was so excited he opened the envelope and I saw the ‘We do’ on the inside of the envelope.

I wondered if one of the kids were going to surprise us…. But no. It was way more exciting!

K is getting married !!! K my mate; my other wean.

I met K when she was 16 and I was older. tooli was a mere Babba. When Tooli was 17 we all went out… and K was the same older I was then. She baby sat for Tooli and Boy on the day Princess Diana died. ALL DAY.

Tooli was three and Boy was Seven. She got them shooting with the army; eating sweets til they came out all ends…. I was face painting. We drove from Glasgow to Grangemouth with the most dire music in the world.

And there have been our outings. The safari park, the maize maze. Too many restaurants to count. The craft farm which we ran away from.

The night of FAME which turned out to be Flashdance and the drunken escapades in the casino after.

Oh dearie me we have had fun.

And no doubt we will continue to have fun. K has been blessed to find A. Who is very much like Si …. Tolerant, calm, and reassuring…. The complete opposite of K and Me.
