To me, abstract photography is finding unexpected light or colours and shapes in things.

The light through the kitchen window blinds enhanced the criss-cross pattern of the heart-shaped decorative lamp on the sill. I upped the glow with fractalius in post editing but instead of making this my usual favoured black background, I kept the light stripes for extra interest :)
