Spring

I should have visited last week when Spring was springing and it was warm and sunny, but last week was busy and I had penciled today to visit.  I had intended to walk through the gardens to see the spring bulbs but it was cold and raining (with a bit of hail and snow) so it was just a coffee and catch up.  Interesting to hear about the new plans for the castle interior and lovely to see H.  I also popped in to see R and was amazed to see his newly decorated office (still untidy though).  Saw the accountant through the glass but didn't speak, she never liked me so I nothing to say?  It is strange how you can spend 16 years working somewhere but after leaving it feels as though you were never there?  

Home via the post office and Next to take a parcel back.  Called into see MIL and deliver her a few groceries and fill up the bird feeders as she is nervous to venture up the garden following her fall last week.  OH is home on Saturday so I have one more day and two more sleeps.

I have almost ticked off all the jobs that I had planned to do, apart from cleaning the carpet which I will do tomorrow.  I have missed him but also enjoyed the quiet and solitude at the same time, although 10 days is enough.
