Perfect

A rather blustery afternoon with cold winds and occasional snowflakes. I had been watching a pair of magpies busily constructing a nest in my neighbour’s Forsythia tree, it is not very high up nor very protected so it seems like an odd choice of location. There is already a big magpie nest in a tall tree across the street and I think the pair have abandoned this to make a new one for some reason.
I could not get any decent photos of them but then came along this absolutely perfect little goldfinch and I had my blip for today.
