River Gryfe weirs

Snapped this from the Bridge of Weir railway viaduct now a cycle track. The weirs are maintained for the local angling club.The several weirs and lades hint at the history of cotton/calico mills on the river. Bridge of Weir leather works is internationally famous for high quality leather used, for example, in the Houses of Parliament, luxury cars and aeroplanes.
