Snake's head fritillaries

I crossed town to campus this morning for meetings, worked at home this afternoon (more meetings and paper reviewing), then prepared a three course meal at top speed ahead of the arrival of Bella for dinner (and Catan*) this evening.

I blipped these snake's head fritillaries in a neighbour's garden on my walk home from campus at lunchtime.
