Birthday

Today it's my turn for a birthday. I've been given cards, and presents, and chocolate and we're having pizza for dinner and watching a film.

If I'm honest, it's not actually an easy birthday. I'm so tired of covid, but that doesn't mean it's gone away no matter how much we all wish it had. I miss my son who's in Germany, I'm wishing I could see my granddaughter, and I'm missing my late sister most of all.

But the woods were lovely (although not dark and deep!) and I'm going to have wine with my dinner. Things could be worse.
