Journalling

Sehn Sucht. The hunger that no food satisfies. The thirst that no beverage quenches. The fire that resists extinguishing. Sometimes great. Often uncontrollable. At times unfulfilled. Burning with it. For me, to write in a journal is to have somewhere safe to express my thoughts and to get my ideas down in a line. Often I find it easier to formulate something if I've had the chance to sit down and write about it. Sometimes its taken me days, weeks, to work through certain issues and once that's done, I move on. I've processed some really difficult events and in some regards I still am.  At present, my full journals live in three different shoe boxes. The shoe box containing the journals I wrote in between 2004 and 2012 are in Uganda, in a shipping container somewhere. The rest (2012 - 2022) are more easily accessible.

Little Man and I stayed home today. We've had a quiet day. Little Man is slowly beginning to scoot along on his tummy and I've had to keep a more vigilant eye on him as he's been caught investigating the cat's food bowl and the TV stand. After he went to bed, I did some more work on my family tree. Its all very interesting.
