Orchids

It was supposed to be a more relaxing day today, but didn’t turn out that way.

A visit to Wicks after breakfast to buy some compost etc to fill the raised bed.
Four 50ltr bags of farmyard manure, and four 50ltr bags of potting compost.
Loading it into the car wasn’t easy especially when you are now in your late 70s.
Then when we reached home we had to bring it from the car down two lots of steps to the new raised bed.
Along with the compost from last years pots it is now almost full. Will leave it at least another couple of weeks to settle down before planting anything.

After lunch it was down to Sainsburys to do the twice monthly supermarket shopping.
Decided to visit the shop instead of Click and Collect. Glad we did as Mr C popped a box of Chocolate eclairs into the trolley.Yummy!

Today’s photo the orchid which was given to us on our Golden Wedding Anniversary.
After a rest of a couple of months it is flowering again.

A bit cooler today, and no sunshine.
I think unfortunately it will be down hill from now on!
