“This is our corner!”
Or “Keep out plecs!”
Busy day today.
Started with an early start (for us) to get Mrs W back to Boston to get her wiring removed, then after breakfast (brunch) it was ‘aquarium water change day’.
For some time we have been having trouble with water clarity, and giving the filter a birthday or two has not helped, so drastic measures were called for. About 30 gallons of tank water bucketed down the toilet, and the same of filtered (drinking water) warmed to 23.5 deg C (or there abouts) bucketed back again.
It was only when things were well under way that I realised that the water was discoloured by the food we have been feeding them. Unfortunately the usual food was not to be found when we last purchased, but we will resume the search.
I’ve included a snapshot of the water removal at extra. It was going to be the blip, but I thought it a bit naff so I took a shot of the Clown Loaches.
At the moment the plecs are at one end of the aquarium, and the Clown Loaches the other. They have come to an arrangement.
