The Seeley Historical Library.
This amazing building, The Faculty of History, which houses the Seeley Library, was designed by James Stirling, one of Britain's most influential and innovative 20th century architects. He combined materials and forms in new ways, such as the red brick and the bold glazing system. Designed in 1963, it was completed in 1968 and is an English Heritage listed building. The library houses over 95,000 volumes of books, and is named after Sir John Seeley and his service to the British Empire. It is the largest of it's kind in the UK. James Stirling received the Pritzker Prize for architecture in 1981. This building is situated on the Sidgwick Site, West Rd, Cambridge. ( Due to another building obstructing, I could not line up my shot to centre)
