What a good idea

Ive still got my birthday cards and mother's day card on display. But whats that? A paperback? What's that doing there?

My niece Philippa sent it to me instead of a card....it's now "a thing". Caitlin Moran wrote about it a few weeks ago in The Sunday Times...you send a paperback bought from a charity shop or jumble sale to your birthday person, post it ( thats the expensive bit so dont buy a thick book) and there you are...they get a book to read rather than a card. A good walk with Clare today. The weather was beautiful. This evening a village meeting to start a process to get our village pub reopened after over 2 years. Not going to be easy!
