Viola Nectar

A really disturbed night meant we were up late. I wasn’t expecting to be having what’s app video calls with my brother and sister at 4am, or to be watching paramedics with my Mum some time later. The wonders of technology in this third decade of the 21st century.

So it’s something of a relief to be blipping a queen bumblebee on our violas. There seem to be a lot about, seeking nectar and prospecting for nest sites. The change in the weather through this week is going to be a bit of a shock to these and other creatures fooled into thinking we’re heading into summer.
