Double header

I’ve had a funny feeling all weekend that we would be short staffed today. I was right.

Our trainee (yes, that one) asked me on Friday if she could have Monday and Tuesday off this week.
I had to decline Monday as there was already someone else off, but said she could have Tuesday no problem.

She rang in sick this morning. On top of that, the new girl who started on Thursday last week as a receptionist has quit!
She messaged Linda last night to say she didn’t want to work on reception full time.
Why apply for the job then???

This has meant me donning my dental nurse hat for the second Monday out of three. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t mind but there’s so much that Linda and I need to cover before she finishes for her holiday on Thursday.

I spotted these daffodils as I parked up at home tonight; two flowers on one stalk :-)
