The men's abbey Caen

Today the sun is shining and it is warm, almost hot. We are wandering around Caen, the centre , it is beautiful. We are in a tourist information office and as it is Sunday we have only a few minutes before it closes. The photo is of a spectacular building, the info I have just managed to read quickly states it was the refuge for citizens of Caen during the bombing in 1944. This one is the men's Abbey there is one for women L'Abbaye- aux - Dames. Earlier we had a coffee sat outside a bar pulling off bits of brioche bought from the patisserie opposite the bar. this is a lovely city and much more to see.
