Mother’s Day

Started with a walk (again) and no.1 was happy to be in the fresh air to clear her head. Not Covid but a horrible cold. We had intended to call in and see MIL but have postponed until tomorrow. Our plans for the weekend have been stalled as No1 is not Feeling well but there will be other opportunities for shopping.

We did stick to plans for lunch out and we enjoyed a lovely meal and No.2 drove down from London to join us. Really nice restaurant in TW with great views and good food. Nobody else was drinking (driving) but I did have a glass. I had been aware that there was some planning going on as I had been asked to keep a few days in May free but was totally blown away by No.2 treat of a few days in Florence for me and him. I’ve never been away with him before but it was his way of saying thank you and I know it will be a really special time. Quite unlike him but what a lovely surprise.
