Time out at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust today. Loved the beautiful waterfowl from across the world. Slimbridge - the birthplace of modern conservation - in 1962 the first nene geese whose population had reduced to 30 was released back into it’s native Hawaii having been successfully bred there. Population now 2000. I think the nene must have been a thing when I went as a child - the name nene is the one thing I remember - they are still there.

Back home now and unloaded, it’s been a good weekend all things considered
